Absolutely love this particular Peet’s. You simply cannot ask for a better location and vibe from a coffee shop. The furniture, the plants, the big open ceiling. Walk to the lake and other cool businesses on the same street. The staff is always friendly and my coffee is always perfect. I asked for a suggestion for espresso with minimal milk and was introduced to a Cortado and loved it.

Peet's on Lakeshore in Oakland reflects the neighborhood and nearby city: relaxed, friendly, creative, accepting of new visitors. The staff are cafe veterans who, in my experience, have not made a false step. When private tables and chairs are occupied there is almost always a seat at one of the long tables—which have multiple electrical outlets for computers, tablets, and phones. Coffee is up to Peet's usual high standards. Food is the only weak point: smaller amounts than can fairly called meals.
This is the nicest Peet's I've been to in the East Bay!(people mentioned remodel) Lots of space with various kinds of seating and tables, with plenty of outlets for your electronics! Parking difficulty is way up there, bring your parking mojo to this neighborhood if you are driving to this location!
I loved Peet's coffee! I ordered a Caramel Macchiato and no extra needed. Perfect as is. But thats only 1% of it's charm! The people, the decor, the vibe, the history, and the fast service was an adventure on it's own. I visited on a Saturday morning and then walked to the farmer's market across the street by the lake. It was one of those perfect Saturday's. Highly recommend.

This place has great flow. The characters here are great, and the banter between the team is warm and funny. Nina is my new coffee crush. They seem to run the good vibes here with an iron fist of funny and focused. Thank you all.
